Lightning Storm Kills More Than 300 Deer in Norway

On August 26, a lightning storm swept over the mountain plateau of Hardangervidda in Norway, killing entire herd of migrating reindeer.

Although it is not certain how the reindeer died, the Inspectorate believes that it takes a high electrical discharge interacted with storm highly conductive torrential rain and electrocuted them, because reinderrs huddle together within during storms.
