On Friday, the actor Jon Voight published a two-part video on Twitter calling President Donald Trump is “the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln”.

Voight began his video by telling, ‘our president has our utmost respect and our love. This job is not easy for he battling the left and their absurd words of destruction’.

The 80-years old Academy Award winner, which starred in films like – ‘Deliverance’, ‘Anaconda’, and ‘Midnight Cowboy’ extra praised the president.

“I’m here today to acknowledge the truth. I’m here today to tell you, my fellow Americans, that our country is stronger, safer, and with more jobs because our president has made his every move correct,” continued Voight.

He then denounced the ‘political left’ and stated that ‘we are the people of this nation that is witnessing triumph’.

Voight concluded by asserting, ‘So let us stand with our president, let us stand for this truth that President Trump is the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln. God bless America’.

Voight has been an outspoken conservative voice, helping John McCain 2008 and Mitt Romney in 2012. In a 2008 op-ed in The Washington Times, Voight fought that “Democrats have targeted young people.”

‘The Democrats have targeted young people, recognizing how easy it is to produce forth whatever is needed to program their minds,’ wrote Voight at the time. ‘I was taken-up in the hysteria through the Vietnam era, which was brought about through Marxist propaganda holding the so-called peace action’.

Voight has also been a staunch supporter of Trump dating back to at least 2016 when he said: “Trump would be a great president.” He’s since published several videos on Twitter applauding the president. Voight now sits on the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts’ board of trustees later being appointed by Trump in March 2019.
