A Filipino vocalist Marcelito Pomoy has proceeded to the semifinal round of the singing competition “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” on Monday.
Marcelito has title Pilipinas Got Talent champion won last 2011 edition, He earned a standing ovation from the judges after performing a jaw dropping production of “The Prayer” by his trademark dual voice.
“That was what I call a 10. As simple as that,” Judge Simon Cowell said of Marcelito
“I want to see something unique, something different, and Marcelito, you gave that to us. It was brilliant,” said judge Alesha Dixon.
Marcelito lost to capture the “golden buzzer”, which automatically qualifies a participant to the semifinal round, though he went over to the next phase after earning the fan vote.
The “America’s Got Talent: The Champions”, a spin-off of the hit US talent show, makes together past participants and winners of international Got Talent franchises.
Participants from Africa, France, US, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Holland, Italy, Myanmar, Poland, Russia, and Norway are set to clash for the coveted crown.
