In the turmoil and great expectancy for the iPhone X, Apple has announced the release of their least awaited and perhaps most boring phone ever made. Although projected to even conjure record and staggering sales figures, Apple will need a lot more investment than usual in marketing strategies so as to achieve these projections.

Another contributing factor to the low excitement and spirit showed towards the iPhone 8 is the fact that three phones are being released together by Apple for the very first time in the company’s history with the iPhone 8 plus and iPhone X accompanying the iPhone 8. In addition to being a precursor to the iPhone X, it looks very much like the iPhone 7, which has its own design pretty much borrowed from iPhone 6 and 6s.
Amidst the boring structure, built and vibe around the iPhone 8, its dependability is great and customary of Apple phones as its features are premium though missing out on a few mouth watering upgrades left for the futuristic iPhone X. Nothing essential has been left out by Apple on the iPhone 8.

With slight differences in size (iPhone 8 is smaller), a 4.7-inch Retina display has been incorporated in the iPhone 8 while the 8 plus features a 5.5-inch retina display. In continuation of the trend in iPhones of the last generation, a single camera sensor is featured on the iPhone 8 with a 12-megapixel lens with the bigger model (iPhone 8 plus) having a combined pair of sensors, each of 12-megapixels in a dual camera setup.

There has been a newly introduced feature which makes it possible to adjust the lighting so as to enhance the looks of portraits. The feature is known as Portrait Lighting and it uses special software and sensors that enable its application during or after pictures have been taken. The camera of this version has been specifically designed to perform motion tracking with an enhanced reality experience.

Added to being microscopically resistant to water and dust, the iPhone 8 and its bigger brother, the iPhone 8 plus are both available in silver, pink-gold, space gray color schemes with glass on the back and front.

Wireless charging is a new feature also supported by both phones with Qi, eliminating the idea of having to plug your phone.

Upon official announcement, iPhone 8 and 8 plus can be preordered as from the 15th of September, 2017 with shipping scheduled to begin on the 22 September, 2017.

These handsets have been made available with internal storage capacities of 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB at starting prices of $699 and $799.
