According to SEOUL Reuters, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd <005930.KS> order to publish this month the completion of an investigation into what caused some of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphones to catch fire. The JoongAng Ilbo newspaper announced on Monday citing unnamed sources.

The South Korean firm said last October that it was examining all viewpoints of the phone, advising there may be a mixture of factors that added to one of the costliest product security failures in tech history.

The world’s top smartphone maker informed of a $5.1 Billion hit to its running profit over three-quarters following its decision to lastingly halt Galaxy Note 7 sales in October.

Analysts and Investors have said it is crucial for Samsung to recognize the cause of the fires to rebuild customer trust and avoid duplicating the same mistakes.

A Samsung Electronics spokesperson refused to comment.
